REALTOR® of the Year. Nominees must exemplify the "REALTOR® spirit" and rate high in service to the association and community. They must also demonstrate excellent business accomplishment. 

Earline Cummings Affiliate of the Year. Nominees must exemplify professionalism, knowledge, and demonstrate a high degree of ethics and service to REALTORS®. They must have an outstanding record of business achievements, and be either the Affiliate Member or an Affiliate Associate Member of the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® for the current year. Nominees will be evaluated based on their record of accomplishment as Affiliate Members. 

Residential Broker of the Year. Nominees must exemplify the "REALTOR® image," and have an enviable record of service to the real estate profession and to the association. They must demonstrate skill, expertise, and productivity in the role of a residential qualifying broker, as well as rate high in ethical conduct, professionalism and knowledge. Only qualifying brokers are eligible. This award is restricted to the previous calendar year. The broker office must have been in existence as of June 1 of the previous year. 

Residential Sales Associate of the Year. Nominees must exemplify the "REALTOR® image," and have an enviable record of service to the real estate profession and to the association. They must rate high in sales achievement, ethics, professionalism and knowledge. All sales associates are eligible except qualifying brokers/managers and sales managers. 

Residential On-site Sales Rookie of the Year & Residential Sales Rookie of the Year. This award honors new residential sales associates who have never been licensed to sell, trade or lease real estate in Alabama or in any other state prior to June 1 of the previous year as evidenced by the date the temporary salesperson’s license was issued by the Alabama Real Estate Commission. The award is based on the number of residential sales units closed, not dollar amounts, using a point system, by the sales associate from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 of the previous year. Only one nominee from a broker/branch office should be nominated for each award.

Tom Rast President’s Cup. This is a lifetime achievement award to honor a REALTOR® who has demonstrated sales achievement, ethical conduct, professionalism, knowledge and cooperation in business dealings. Candidates must have been a continuous member of the Association for 25 years or longer. 

Young Professional of the Year. This award recognizes one of the year's top producing young REALTORS® or Affiliate Members. Candidates should have evidence of a successful year, active participation in YPN as well as involvement in the Birmingham association and the community. Applications are reviewed by the YPN chair and vice chair along with staff of the Birmingham Association of REALTORS®.

Good Neighbor Award (SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION DIRECTLY TO NAR). REALTOR® Magazine's Good Neighbor Awards recognize members in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS® who make extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities. Five winners are announced each fall in REALTOR® Magazine. Winners are recognized annually at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo, and receive $10,000 grants for their charities. Winners also receive travel expenses to the conference and national and local media exposure for their community cause. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions each receive a $2,500 grant.
